It is important to know when to utilize each type of Laboratory water system

Our Laboratory Services offer a full range of water testing capabilities to provide your facility with the knowledge and clarity to ensure patient and equipment safety.

AAMI Contaminant Testing

We offers reliable ANSI/AAMI/ISO 23500 and ANSI/AAMI ST108 testing for tap and product water contaminants in dialysis centers and central sterile processing applications. AAMI Contaminant Testing is to validate the final water quality meets the current AAMI standards for contaminant levels in dialysis and central sterile markets that have an impact on patient safety and processing of surgical instruments. We deliver results in 5 business days, with a 3-day STAT option available for an extra fee.

Microbiological Testing

Testing for bacteria is crucial to help prevent serious risk to dialysis patients with weakened immune systems from kidney disease. In addition, high bacteria levels in water can contaminate medical devices and lead to post-surgery infections. Our Microbiological Testing utilizes Heterotrophic Plate Count Methods to ensure the most accurate CFU/ml results. Testing results provided 24 – 48 hours from receipt of sample.

Total Organic Carbon (TOC) Testing

TOC Testing is critical, as high TOC levels can serve as nutrition to microorganisms and contribute to microbial growth on medical devices. They can also interfere with detergents or disinfectants effectiveness for cleaning. Testing result turnaround times will vary.

Endotoxin Testing

Good Water Company utilizes the Kinetic Chromogenic Testing Method for endotoxin, providing exact endotoxin levels with both positive and negative controls to ensure accurate results. The test is performed to ensure endotoxin levels are within current AAMI 23500 and ST108 standards. A high concentration of endotoxins present in water can cause pyrogenic reactions in dialysis or surgical patients. Testing results provided 24 – 48 hours from receipt of sample.

Reverse Osmosis Feed Water Analysis

The Reverse Osmosis Feed Water Analysis offers comprehensive insights into the chemistry of your feed water, covering minerals, organics, and contaminants. This detailed analysis helps to determine the type of pretreatment equipment required to effectively operate your reverse osmosis system and enhance the final water quality. Testing results provided 2 weeks from receipt of sample. Note: This test does not include Silt Density Index testing. If you require this, contact us directly for assistance.

Particle Size Distribution Analysis

This is a technique for analyzing the suspended solids within a water sample. Our Particle Size Distribution Analysis provides valuable insights into the range and quantities of these particles, which can significantly impact water quality and treatment processes. Testing results provided 2 days from receipt of sample.

Our Products

Laboratory – Storage Tank with UV Disinfector

The laboratory storage tank, with UV disinfector and submicron filter, is intended for use with a reverse osmosis unit and a deionizer providing Type II water. This system is used on washer/disinfectors, lab, glassware washers, and blood analyzers. A 55 or 100 gallon storage tank with demand pump package provides up to 4 GPM for a ½” recirculating loop.

Dual Worker/Polisher Laboratory Deionizer

The Silex dual worker/polisher Laboratory Deionizer is designed for use with the laboratory system to polish the water from the RO storage tank. Uses include labs, critical spot free rinsing, chemical dilution and mixing, humidification, etc. The Silex deionizer uses packs of mixed bed resin that are sent back to the regeneration center to be recharged. A spare set is provided so they can be alternated for regeneration. The regeneration service is only a fraction of the cost of disposable deionizer beds or cartridges. The all PVC housings are durable and the packs are easy to exchange.

Generally, there are three types of water used in car washes, hard water, soft water, and reverse osmosis water.
Generally, there are three types of water used in car washes, hard water, soft water, and reverse osmosis water. It is important to know when to utilize each type of water in a car wash because each has an impact on producing a clean and dry car.

Hard water creates problems when used with detergents and presoaks by reacting with some of the components in those products. However waxes and drying agents work best with hard water.

Soft water produces the highest foam levels and most consistent cleaning performance. Soft water is created in a water softener by replacing hard ions with sodium ions. Unlike hard water with hard ions, sodium ions do not have any negative effect on detergents and presoaks, making it the best choice for the wash component of a car wash. Good Water Company has been a leader in commercial water softener technology for over 20 years. We have a variety of water softeners for you to choose from so you can find the one that works best for your car wash facility. Our team of experts can even design custom, efficient, high-capacity water softeners for any application.

Soft water often leaves behind white spots caused from the sodium deposits. This creates a need for reverse osmosis rinse water. This water displaces the sodium mineral deposits and leaves the water essentially spotless. Only Good Water Company can provide the consistent purity and quality from our reverse osmosis systems required to produce the cleanest and driest car possible.
