The spray mist is an example of a forced-air humidifier that Good Water Company can design and manufacture for you. Spray mist uses a pipe, usually a small plastic tube, to bring water directly to an electrically controlled valve in the humidifier. Water mist is sprayed directly in to the air supply, and the mist is carried in the premises by the air flow. With the spray mist technique the spray nozzle can become clogged in hard water situations and it disperses any minerals in the water into the airstream, necessitating the use of a water softener and filter. However, this technique uses little electricity and does not require the use of moisture pads which are an ongoing expense. The spray mist technique uses water very efficiently and does not generate waste water. It also does not require separate connection to a drain. Other forced air-humidifiers can have a pan of stagnant water that serves as a breeding ground for molds, the spray mist humidifier does not have that issue.
